In the example of a case which cannot be salvaged by the opposing legal side, or in such a matter that the company wishes you to not bring the case public, they may request that you sign a settlement agreement. In this case they would then allot you some of the conditions on your legal contract and pay you full compensation. If this happens it is better to sign it and be done with the case, as in previous lawsuits the defendants haven’t and have then gone on to have the case turn against them, throwing them into legal debt.
